Target groups

The PPS module especially addresses to students from these fields of studies:

  • Mechanical engineering and process engineering
  • Bio- and Chemical engineering
  • Industrial engineering
  • Chemistry
  • Energy economics
  • Technical economics

and students from other areas of study that are of technical nature who want to enhance their knowledge in the area of process and plants safety.

Requirements

There are no specific requirements in regard to knowledge. Basics in fluid dynamics, thermodynamic and technical chemistry however will make understanding the lecture easier. The lecture is offered in German and sufficient knowledge of German language is also necessary.

PSS is a strongly interdisciplinary field of study – many areas of study are important for PPS experts. PPS curriculum comprises of the following topics:

Vorlesung-Prozess-Anlagensicherheit

Lecture Contents

This module conforms to the requirements of the model curriculum for Process and Plant Safety as recommended by Dechema.

This lecture is currently offered in German language.
